Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur held Induction programme for PGP batch 2017-19. Among those who addressed on the occasion were Lt. Gen. S. P. Kochhar (CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council), Prof. Abhijit Bhattacharya (Dean Faculty, IIM Lucknow), Prof. Ajay Garg (IIM Lucknow), Prof. Himanshu Rai (IIM Lucknow) and Prof. (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra, Director IIM Sirmaur.
Lt. Gen. SP Kochhar, CEO TSSC highlighted the importance of having a clear vision by stating that one must be clear about what he/she wants to achieve in life. He urged the participants to think beyond placements. While delivering an insightful perspective of what corporate expects from IIM pass out, Gen. Kochhar explained how being associated with an IIM provides the well-earned leverage. He emphasized on the importance of negotiation skills and the need to ‘market’ oneself.
